what makes us different
It’s the Values We Live By
Every decision and strategy centers around undoing structural racism and addressing decades of disinvestment in Black and Brown communities.
It's not just about treating illness—it's about changing the conditions that create illness.
Expanding availability of timely, high-quality services across the South Side through trusted providers.
Delivering care that respects and reflects the cultures, identities, and values of the communities served.
SSHEC is a collaboration of long-standing, trusted community partners who know their neighborhoods because they’re part of them. Deeply rooted in the communities they serve, these organizations reflect the cultural and linguistic diversity of the people they support and have earned the confidence of local residents.
